I noticed the red hair thing. I love dolls with red hair but honestly, I'm sick of the same old thing. I wish AG would come up with something different for a change. If they change Ruthie's coloring I'll be upset.
Has anyone else noticed that all the friend dolls have either had red hair, came from England, or lived in the main character's house for a period of time?
I thought that was sorta interesting

The red hair thing isn't true for Elizabeth. Even in the books her hair was brown, not red.

also all the friend dolls have blue eyes
Ollymolly means that of the 3 friend dolls, all of them have at least two of the qualities she listed. I think that's pretty interesting; I'd noticed the England thing and the redhead thing (although most people here seem to consider Nellie strawberry blonde, she appears to have red hair in the books so I still imagine her as a redhead).
I think in one of the short stories Ruthie lives in Kit's house for a while when they're sick? I haven't read it though...I really hope they don't make her a blonde or redhead though! And she's not from England at least.
I don't think Elizabeth came from England, had red hair or lived in Felicity's house - so I don't think see was any of those things.

They are sisters and thier family had just come here from England" thier are parts thourgh out the felicity stories where it is metion that Elizabeth is from englandOriginally posted by craftycarol51:

At that time that was true of many colonist (Coming from England)
For Molly the most interesting thing for a friend was Emily's story line
Nellie was/is Irish - NOT English and there was a Much bigger difference then in regards to being connected.
Personally there are so many dark haired dolls that I think they tried to do something different with the friends dolls
You can't have a Brown Haired Friend doll with Samantha or Molly and you can't have a red haired friend for Felicity. With the exception of the blond Hair for Elizabeth I think that they have done a very nice job with the "friends"
